This S/S I'll Be Wearing: All White

One of my favourite trends to emerge from the S/S shows has to be head to toe white. Seen on more catwalks than you can count, it fits neatly into the minimalist aesthetic kicked off by Phoebe Philo's debut collection at Céline in 2010 and which has been gaining momentum every season since. And yet, somehow the all white look seems maximalist as much as minimalist. Much harder to carry off with confidence than all black, it makes more of a statement, looks a lot sharper and more deliberately put together. I don't think anyone can wear all white and claim just to have thrown it on that morning.
However, I do think it's a great way to look effortlessly stylish without too much forward planning. Simply grab a pair of white skinnies, a white vest and a white blazer, and either pair with black ankle strap heels or, if you really want to go for it, the white stilettos which every fashion editor worth her stripes has been sporting recently, and you're good to go.
